"content": "Shipping & Delivery Last updated: August 2026 Where we deliver We deliver right across Canada. What it costs Express delivery is a flat $22. Orders of $60 or more are delivered free. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and it is charged as a delivery option rather than as a line item, so a discount code only ever reduces the price of the goods. How long it takes Allow 5 to 7 days. Screens are prepared to order rather than picked off a shelf, which is what takes the time. We will tell you if anything is going to run longer than that. Tracking Every order ships with tracking. You get a link by email as soon as your order leaves us. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number and we will resend it. If a parcel is late, lost or damaged Until the goods reach you, the risk is ours: on a consumer sale, risk passes when you take physical possession of the goods, under the Sale of Goods Act in your province and, in Quebec, the Civil Code. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us with your order number and we sort it out, either by replacing the order or refunding it. You do not need to chase the carrier yourself. Getting your address right Please check the delivery address before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could take delivery, we will resend it, though a second delivery charge may apply.",

"summary": "Your 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. Goods must be returned in clean, resaleable condition. Screens already cut to your own measurements may fall outside it.",
"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated: August 2026 Our 30-day change-of-mind policy If you change your mind, you have 30 days from the day your order arrives to tell us. The screen has to come back unused and in the condition you received it, in its original packaging, and you pay the cost of sending it back. When we have it, we refund what you paid for the goods to the card or PayPal account you used. This is our own policy rather than something the law requires of us, and it is deliberately more generous than the statutory position in Canada. Unrolling a screen and offering it up to the window to check the size is fine. Cutting the frame or the mesh is not, because it cannot then be resold. Your rights under Canadian law There is no general cooling-off period for buying goods online in Canada, which surprises people who have shopped in the UK or the EU. What provincial law does give you are specific rights when something has gone wrong with the sale itself. Under the consumer protection legislation in your province, including Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2023 , British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act , Alberta's Consumer Protection Act and Quebec's Consumer Protection Act , you can generally cancel an online purchase and get your money back if we failed to give you the information the law requires before you ordered, if we did not send you a copy of the agreement, or if we do not deliver within 30 days of the delivery date we gave you. The exact wording and the time limits differ from province to province. These rights sit alongside the 30-day policy above. Neither one takes anything away from the other, and nothing on this page limits a right you have by law. Screens made to your measurements A screen cut to measurements you give us, for example through our quote service, is made for your window and cannot be sold to anyone else. Those are outside the 30-day change-of-mind policy once we have started making them, and we say so on the quote form so that you know before you order. That is a different thing from a standard size you cut down yourself at home. Standard sizes keep the full 30 days until you cut them. If anything is wrong with a made-to-measure item, contact us. Faulty or incorrect goods are always put right, and this exclusion does not touch your rights over defects. If something is faulty If your order arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us and we will put it right at no cost to you, by replacing it or refunding it. We pay the return shipping on faulty goods. Goods sold to you must be of merchantable quality, match their description and be fit for the purpose you bought them for. Those are implied conditions under the Sale of Goods Act in your province, and under articles 1726 and 1729 of the Civil Code of Quebec if you are in Quebec. We do not ask you to give any of that up. How to start a return Email theteam@customersupport.care with your order number and tell us whether you are changing your mind or reporting a fault. We reply with the return address and the next step. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us, so your parcel does not go astray. Refund timing We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to the same payment method you used. Your bank or card issuer decides how quickly it then shows on your statement, which is usually a few working days. If we cannot agree We would much rather settle a problem with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the consumer affairs office in your province can help: Consumer Protection Ontario, Consumer Protection BC, Alberta's Consumer Investigations Unit, and the Office de la protection du consommateur in Quebec all take complaints about online sellers. The federal Competition Bureau handles complaints about misleading advertising.",

"summary": "How Simple Screens collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, including cookies and analytics.",
"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated: August 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit simplescreen.shop or buy from us. We handle your information in line with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and with the provincial privacy laws that apply where you live, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25, and the Personal Information Protection Acts in Alberta and British Columbia. Who is responsible The organisation responsible for your information is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Simple Screens. Our Canadian address and our registered address are both in the footer of every page and on the About page. You can reach us about anything on this page, including a request to see what we hold, at theteam@customersupport.care . What we collect and why Order information. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you ordered. We need these to take payment, ship your order and deal with returns. By placing an order you consent to us using them for that. We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who handle the card data themselves. Enquiry information. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so that we can answer you. Sending us the form is your consent to us replying to it. Analytics information. Only if you agree. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to change your mind. Marketing emails. We only send these if you asked for them. Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) every one carries our identity and a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect within ten business days at the latest. How consent works Canadian privacy law runs on consent. You give it expressly when you tick a box or send us a form, and by implication when you place an order and we use your address to deliver it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, subject to what we still have to keep for legal and tax reasons. Withdrawing consent does not make what we did beforehand unlawful, and in some cases withdrawing it means we can no longer complete an order. How long we keep it Order records are kept for six years, which is the period the Income Tax Act and the Excise Tax Act require us to keep business records. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them. Who we share it with Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. We do not sell your information. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, which means it may be accessible to the courts and authorities of those countries. Under PIPEDA's accountability principle we remain responsible for your information when it is handled by a supplier on our behalf, and we use contracts requiring them to protect it to a comparable standard. Your rights You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and what we have done with it, and we will tell you. If something is wrong, you can ask us to correct it, and we will. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To do any of that, email theteam@customersupport.care . We respond within 30 days, which is the period PIPEDA allows. Being straight about the limits: PIPEDA does not give a general right to have your information erased or exported the way the GDPR does, so we do not promise either. Where a provincial law does give you more than the federal minimum, for example in Quebec, that law applies and we will follow it. If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca . Residents of Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia may complain to their provincial commissioner instead. Security The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.",

"summary": "The terms that apply when you use the website and buy from Simple Screens.",
"content": "Terms & Conditions Last updated: August 2026 These Terms & Conditions govern your use of simplescreen.shop and any purchase you make from Simple Screens (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our trading and registered addresses are in the footer of every page and on the About page. How a contract is formed The products shown on this site are an invitation to you to place an order, not a binding offer. Your order is the offer. A contract comes into being when we accept it, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email or by dispatching the goods, whichever happens first. Before you order we show you the price, the delivery charge, the total, the delivery timeframe and our returns policy, which is the information provincial consumer protection legislation requires for an internet agreement. Prices and payment All prices are in Canadian dollars. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay: $22 flat, or free on orders of $60 and over. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal. We do not store your full card details. Where a product shows a previous price beside the current one, the previous price is the price this shop charged for that item before the current offer. If a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing error, we will tell you before dispatch and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel at no cost. Delivery We deliver right across Canada. Times, costs and what to do if a parcel goes missing are on the Shipping page. Cutting a screen to size Every standard screen is designed to be cut down at home to fit your own opening. Order the size above your measurement. Once you have cut a screen it cannot be returned as unwanted, though your rights over faulty goods are unaffected. Screens we make to your measurements are covered separately on the Refunds & Returns page. Changing your mind Canada has no general cooling-off period for buying goods online, so we give you one of our own: 30 days from delivery to change your mind on an uncut, unused screen. Provincial law separately lets you cancel an internet agreement in defined circumstances, including where we fail to deliver within 30 days of the date we gave you. Both are set out in full on the Refunds & Returns page. Faults and guarantees Goods we sell you must be of merchantable quality, match their description and be fit for the purpose you bought them for. Those are implied conditions under the Sale of Goods Act in your province, and under articles 1726 and 1729 of the Civil Code of Quebec if you are in Quebec. Nothing in these terms limits those, or any other right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement. Acceptable use Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, no scraping it for a competing catalogue, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do. Our liability Our liability is set out on the Limited Liability Indemnity page. Nothing there or here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Changes to these terms We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of the province you live in that would otherwise apply to you. Your rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We would much rather settle any dispute with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the consumer affairs office in your province can help, and the federal Competition Bureau handles complaints about misleading advertising.",
